The project site was identified as being within Core Koala Habitat.
The plight of the Koala is very topical. Thus OzArk recommended several alternatives to the proposal in an effort to avoid Koala Habitat and a known ‘Important Population’ of Koalas.
As impact could not be avoided, the project was referred to the DoE. They determined the Proposal to be a ‘Controlled Action’. OzArk then worked with the client to develop suitable EPBC Offsets using the newly developed EPBC Act Offset Calculator.
